Hey, whatever happened to predictability? You know, the milkman. The paperboy. Maybe some evening TV? Back in the day we knew exactly what to expect and that made life comfortable. Now, as soon as we start to relax, something pops up to disturb our groove.
But unexpected things don’t necessarily have to be bad things. I mean, who would have ever expected Uncle Joey to come to town? It’s like a beautiful ‘90s dream come true!
“Full House” funnyman Dave Coulier is posting up in Arlington on Friday and Saturday to dazzle us with a special “clean comedy” performance. And it looks like “clean” is the theme of the weekend here in NoVA. At a time when some comedians make dirty/offensive jokes for cheap laughs (Seth MacFarlane, I’m looking at you…), Coulier’s style reminds us that there’s still plenty in life to laugh at without taking it to the gutter.
Let’s hope he brings his goofy ‘90s antics, outrageously funny imitations and maybe even a “Cut. It. Out!” or two.
